Hello Brian,

Yesterday your picture suggested that you had risen early to catch the light - in this one you have obviously gone out later in the day to catch the setting sun. And how well you express the phenomenon in your note - yes, the setting sun is indeed just "brushing" those pebbles and imparting in them some wonderfully vibrant coulours as well as bringing out their textures superbly.

Very well composed with interesting foreground and background features, beautiful warm colours, perfect exposure and stunning details and sharpness.

I can only say WOW.The light and the way it helps to saturate more the colors is gorgeous.Admittedly I like the subject of the photo very much,but the whole scene is for me more about the ligh,colors and unique,lovely atmosphere it can create.Well done!

anche oggi uno scatto di grande bellezza, stupendo per composizione e colori.
Mi piacciono in particolare questi ultimi che nascono dallo sfruttamento ottimale della temperatura di colore che si ha quando il sole è basso sull'orizzonte.
Di grande effetto la ghiaia ricca di colori caldi sulla tonalità dl rosso che ben si accoppia con la barca gialla. Bello il contrasto con le tonalità fredde del cielo, mentre il taglio verticale dona altre emozioni. Buoni contrasto e saturazione un po' marcato e buona anche la definizione.

quelle douceur dans les tons quelle profondeur d'image ce lumière orangée sont merveilleuse avec ce petits cailloux l'attache et la barque et ce ciel en fond une splendeur.

Hello Brian - The pebbles and little boat look glorious in the late afternoon sunlight and the rope with floats adds a super detail in the FG breaking up the textures nicely. The sky is wonderful too, the warmly lit clouds on the horizon continuing the colour theme and contrasting well with the blue above. Very attractive. Warm regards Rosemary

Splendid light which colors the peebles and boat skull in orange, contrasting with the blue sky. I would have avoided to cut the buoy at the foreground.

Fond memories of Brighton beach - I may have mentioned that I used to live in Brighton many moons ago.

Oh wow, you really have chosen the right moment to take this shot. The light really is exquisite, so sweet it hurts. I love the depth, the vertical frame, the amazing textures from the pebbles on the beach and of course that majestic golden light which dominates the frame. Just wonderful and I would never in a million years have guessed that this was the Old Dart.

I know that many people would prefer a sandy beach above this pebble shore. But your picture turned this beach into a wonderful multicoloured one!

The pebbles and the rope leading us to the boat make a very good foreground. A very good composition, with good colours and a beautiful blue sky. The sunset was really the perfect moment for this one - the soft light is excellent!
