Huts & Offices, a photo from East Sussex, England

Photographer's Note

Beach huts on Brighton & Hove seafront in East Sussex, England sit in stark contrast to the plush offices of Brighton & Hove City Council in Kings House on the main esplanade road. The building was built as seven Italianate-style mansion blocks in 1872 and is Grade II listed.

Hello Brian,
Probably taken early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The light is very beautiful and creates strong warm tones on the buildings, specially on the offices. The contrast with that blue sky is also striking.
But I specially like that combination of this coloured huts with the big office buildings behind them.

Very nice colourful subject. I like your graphical composition and the many bright colours you have captured here, lighted up by the deep and moody sky. The tall background building full of windows provides a striking contrast to the humble beach huts. The business world looks upon the world of entertainment. A very appealing shot with exquisite detail and sharpness.

Colourful shot here with the contrast between huts in the foreground, sandstone colour of the offices and the deep blue sky. I bet those sheds cost as much as the offices do these days!

Another eye-catching combination of interesting shapes and beautiful colours.
It looks unreal, like a city from a cartoon or fairy-tale. These could be hobits' huts... ;)

Wow, this one contains two things I enjoy the most...shapes & patterns. For its "block" nature, it sure has a lot to offer visually. The solid colors work perfectly with the composition, and I'm fascinated with the lines in virtually every direction. The exposure looks to be spot on, detail in every facet. Impressive shot!
