Photographer's Note

On a gloomy day, the remains of the West Pier in Brighton; tragic reminder of the several arson attacks in recent history. It was built in 1866 as the town's second promenade pier but after the first fire in 2004 it was decelared unsafe and closed to public. Last fire in 2010 sealed its faith as a un-repairable ruin in the middle of the bay.
