Entrance to the 14th century church of St. Andrew that lies in the very heart of the village of Alfriston, East Sussex, England. The church is Grade I listed and was built in the 1370's being quite large for a village, with a distinctive spire and is known affectionately as the "Cathedral Of The South Downs".

superbe format pour cette photo de cette église avec ombre et lumière, belles couleurs de fin de l'hiver, une belle entrée avec cette lampe, des anciennes tombes, une belle présentation

I am not sure, but it seems very familiar to me. Perhaps I saw this church on the TE. Perfect sharpness and attractive colors. I also love this composition, well seen.
Have a good new week!

una composizione perfetta per un soggetto che merita di essre ripreso per la sua suggestiva bellezza.
Tutto perfetto nella ripresa inclusa la bella cornice fatta di rami scheletrici che contrastano con il bel sole della giornata primaverile.
Splendidi colori e luce.
Ciao e buona settimana

I like the point of view with the open gateway to the graveyard beckoning us to enter. Also, the pleasant warm light and the shadow play. Good framing from the trees that seem to caress the outline of the church.

senza dubbio la luce è un fattore molto importante in questa foto, anche se, ovviamente, occorre anche un buon soggetto per riuscire a costruire una bella composizione come tu sei riuscito a fare.

Hello Brian, very nice image here. I like the way we can see the church between the trees in the front. Good details on the walls. Good take.

A wonderful little church Brian and photographed under optimum light. The leafless branches are a good frame and their fine tracery allow us to see the architectural details clearly. I can see the perimeter wall is studded with flint, is the church the same? A fine piece of work. Have a good evening Rosemary

I like this one very much. The chapel has been shot from really nice POV with the gate open and inviting. The path leads an eye towards the main subject and the branches frame the whole picture in natural way. LOvely colors and light.

I lıke the dappled light and shadow-play. Good lead in lines with the fg path and a wonderful warm vs cold colour contrast between the red earth and bricks and the blue sky. Excellent sharpness and good choice of a vertical frame. Nıce textural details on the church facade. Tfs!

very attractive composition with the tree branches adding a very nice touch here. There are some places which I could not photograph due to the abundant vegetation so autumn and winter offer some opportunities like here to see some structures from a lesser known angle.
Very charming church and perfectl presented here. I like the processing which well emphasized the details, great side light subtly touching the rough surface of the church walls.

wow, I missed this superb church. Excellent view and you composed it using a nice POV Brian. The tree branches are covered the top nicely. Excellent colours. Nice shot. Tfs.
