| Today saw the walking group start from Allerthorpe Woods near Pocklington. A very cold day but the sun was shining. Walking along the Pocklington Canal, most of which was iced over we came to Melbourne Moorings where this swan was walking on water or should that be ice. It was looking for food and luckily we had some food left over from our lunch stop. We were amazed when the swan came right up to us to take the food. |

Hello Denise
It's not so often that we could see a swann walking on the water !
Very funny scene. The panoramic format catches the eyes on the main subject, it's well chosen.
Regards,
Karine
Salut Denise
Trop marrante cette photo.; En plus on dirait que le cygne est accroché.
Si tu as recadré si petit.; c'est surement que le paysage n'était pas très joli..

Hello, Denise.
This fellow is cool - or, rather, frozen. Very nice detail and composition and the reflections on the ice are superb. Good lighting too.
It might have just been a tad better if you had made the whole picture a little bigger - right up to the 800 pixel limit, but it's very good as it is.
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi,
Well spotted Denise and nicely exposed with attractive icy light reflections. A good touch of grass in the foreground as well with an interesting background. Lots to look at. Thanks.
Dougie.

Thanx and have a good week-end.
