Good Morning Everyone,
For obvious reasons, I called this the 'Pink House' the minute that I saw it.
It is not only a very attractive, old cottage, with a garden adjacent to the river but it is, also, situated right next to an old Roman Fort in the village of Piercebridge. Beyond the back garden is a large field, under which, according to university archaeologists, is the remains of a Roman settlement. What a place to investigate!!
As you can see, the house is up for sale, so I couldn't help having a quick look! If you want a tour of the inside of this pretty cottage just click on the link. I can't think of many occasions when the inside of a house, as well as the outside of the house, is on view.
Have a lovely day, Bev :-)

This is an attractive view of the 'pink' house with a fine pov with its warm colours in beautiful contrast with the clear blue sky. The delicate pink of the walls followed by the pale yellow and pale blue is indeed a visual treat.
Thanks for sharing and have a great day.

Now Bev..... this is just the cottage for me, I'd have to change the red door and I'm not too keen on the closeness of the road but I do like the garden! It has plenty of bedrooms too, perfect for guests!
An attractive shot on the diagonal with the full row of cottages in their pastel colours making a pretty scene. I see that the Wisteria is not yet out but I bet it is now.
PS. How did the duck race go?

I like the long oblique perspective with the stone wall providing the initial draw-in. Also, the light and the soft pastel tones of the façades and the shadow play. You sound like my wife, who is always itching to know what a house looks like on the inside; thanks Heavens for Estate Agents:-)

J'aime beaucoup le point de vue sur la maison rose. L'ensemble offre une belle diagonale dans l'image qui porte le regard au loin vers le ciel. Très bien fait.

these little terraced cottages are quintessentially English and looks so attractive in this perfectly composed shot. Lots of nice shadow play that brings out the textures and character exquisitely.

You'd make a good estate agent as I would buy the house just for the wisteria (as shown via your link). A well composed picture using a useful diagonal. Pretty pastels and a lovely blue sky make this perfect for a chocolate box.

so you say someone may be lucky to find a pot with treasure in the backyard full of gold Roman coins? :)
The house is lovely indeed and not too far from where I live now, I guess I should consider it :)
Pink goes quite well with the blue sky which you were lucky to have on that day. I like the shadows of the naked trees, the light was really great.
Very well done!
