The Location

Yet another from my recent trip to Exmoor. Taken at Valley of the Rocks just west of Lynton and Lynmouth, Devon, UK.

The Image

A documentary image and experiment with visual weight. I also just love the endless textures and lines of these coastal rocks in England.

Also used a 3-stop grad filter.

Cheers!

Hi, Rob,
A nice shot evoking legends and lake myths:)
Nice despite its simplicity and the cliche popularity.

Bonjour Bob
j'aime beaucoup la gestion de la lumière dans cette photo. Excellent cadrage vertical. C'est une photo bien composée. Bravo.

Bob,

Lead lines galore here. Wonderful.

Hi Bob,
a nice image, I like the foreground, even if not a good light just on it, because in the shadow.

Hi Bob, Perfect light management in this shot, bright enough to show us the interesting detail on the rock, but not a blown out sky (was this from one exposure?). Inclusion of the coastline works well, taking the viewer out and over the edge (but not to a terrifying death) to the far headland. cheers, Steve

G'day Bob!

So - you've done the English coastline to perfection (again!): when are you going to turn your skills towards Oz and New Zealand, mate?

Best wishes,
Jeff
