Photographer’s Note
Torquay Harbour lies on the North shore of Tor Bay and the enclosed harbour is sheltered by two piers, Princess Pier to the West and Haldon Pier to the South.
The Harbour also shelters a 440-berth marina from the prevailing South Westerly winds - some of the boats are shown here.
The world's most famous mystery writer, Agatha Christie, was born in Torquay in 1890.
It was a very dull, grey day when we visited last year!
Thanks for stopping by.

Bonjour Vicky,
une ambiance très particulière avec ce ciel un peu plus que menaçant.
Maintenant, c'est peut-être un effet de filtre.
Une petite vue sympa qui nous ramène en été.
Regards.
Daniel.

Hi Vicky, I hope all is going well. I like the gloomy atmosphere in this one, with the dark sky hovering above the marina making the white boats stand out nicely. The red buoys are nice for vivid dots on the ground, and the flying gull is a nice little detail. Nice catch.

Hi Vicky,
A nice harbour scene with good dynamism thanks to the motion brought by the coming boat, the grey weather works well here as it strengthens the impact of the three pink buoys.
I wish you a nice week end,
Jean-Yves
