We were on the way to Tavistock just before 10.00 o`clock last Tuesday morning when we saw the mist hanging over the valleys toward the Tamar Valley.
As it was so far away I used the long lens to take 3 shots which I later stitched together.

A really great image considering it was stitched from 3 long lens shots. Fantastic in B&W. I particularly like the mid-ground row of trees the silhouettes of which are accentuated by the mist directly behind them.

The layering of the landscape is wonderful, each segment holding some beautiful details. I love the mist blanketing certain areas to add a great mood. You dod well with your stitching as it does not show.

This is another great shot in monochrome. I like the pockets of mist captured in the depression on the ground, it has wonderfully divided the photo into black and white layers. The trees in the middle have come out well against the mist. Your choice of B&W has magnified the effect. Thanks for sharing.

well spotted game of lines and shades - excellent idea to put it in Black and White. The line of the trees in the center is a great detail to diversify slightly composition. I like the mist floating in some places and softening the whole image.

This is fantastic, love the layers in the landscape, super in B@W, The mist adds to the whole atmosphere and the stitch is perfect.
One to be very proud off.

voici une magnifique photo N&B, un paysage bien structuré par les arbres et la brume créant un très bon graphisme.L'assemblage est parfait.

Hello Les - I love your B&W processing and this shot works so well with the layer of mist behind the row of skeletal trees. I cannot think that this would look better in colour as the range of tones and textures are superb. Clever to stitch 3 shots too. A favourite for me. Warm regards Rosemary

monochrome seems popular today, and this is a cracker of a shot. The mist and the tonal quality of this image make it so artistic and atmospheric. Looks beautiful too!

This is a fascinating view which I think has gained a lot from the B&W treatment. This has enhanced the graphic qualities of the hedges, lines of trees and local banks of mist, as well as the nice line of clouds.

Eye catching Tavistock panorama in monochrome, with varying layers of tree strands within the rolling hills, combined with mist, and all in excellent resolution.
Well done and good stitching job,

What a superb assemblage, Les! I assume it was three vertical frames, but I cannot tell from this image -- your joinings are seamless. I hope when I have an image so perfectly suited to monochrome, I can recognize it -- your lesson to us here involves seeing the contrast between the fine texture of the central line of trees and the great bright mist behind it. Absolutely fantastic.

This is another outstanding painting in B/W. How wonderfully you have extracted different shades of gray throughout the whole frame! A perfect title... the mist indeed is the beauty in this vast panorama.
A fantastic shot. Thanks for sharing.
