Photographer's Note
On the road between Tavistock and Bere Alston just past the Shilla Mill Viaduct,a side road meanders beside the River Tavy past long disused tin mines.

Hello Leslie - What a wonderful place to go for a walk, I wouldn't mind the muddy puddles! Just feeling and smelling the dampness would be a treat! I love this shot, the composition, the details, the colours and your very competent management all speak to me about the autumn season in rural England. TFS such a lovely photograph. Rosemary
PS. You shot has added appeal as we wilt in the heat. I feel an early sundowner coming on :)

Hello Leslie,
This is a wonderful composition with great colours. I particularly like the way that branch demands some attention over the river.

Trevor

Hello Les,
Putting the errant branch right in the forefront of the frame was not something I would do, but it is indeed a well inspired move and a successful one. The parallel lines provided by the river and the track help give the image depth. The image is pleasantly lit and benefits from lovely natural colours and very good clarity.

Gidday Les
Were you standing in the bushes to get this beautiful shot? After seeing you in action today on the rock ledge at Bondi, you really are quite intrepid. I like the effect that the stream one the left and the road on the right have on the perspective. The colours are wonderful and the slowed down water (courtesy of the Big Stopper?) is the icing on the cake. Superb light management and colour control.
Warm regards
Lisa
