Stowford is ideally located for exploring Devon and Cornwall.Close to the wild beauty of Dartmoor and the lovely Tamar Valley, both of which offer excellent walking and cycling.A thirty minute drive will take you to the North or South coasts of Devon and Cornwall. The Eden project, Cornwall's latest attraction, is only a 45 minute drive away. There are several National Trust properties nearby, including Lydford Gorge and Cotehele House.
St.John the Baptist is a mediaeval Church, there is a sundial on the porch which has a carved roof. Inside the fine roofs are carved and have pelicans, flowers and faces on the bosses. There are angels in blue and gold along the sides.
Parish Registers going back to 1707 are held in the Devon Record Office

Hello Leslie - What a lovely English frosty winter's morning. Makes me feel quite nostalgic. Nothing better than a walk through such a lovely landscape. TFS. Rosemary

I like this November picturesque shot with the snows to have been covered your country as the TV said. Here in Greece, we have the 'little Summer' with the temperatures to be between 20-24 C .Nice snapshot from the English countryside view.
Have a good afternoon,Danos
