While walking on Dartmoor, we climbed to the top of yet another tor of granite. It was worth the climb, as the view across Dartmoor was breathtaking.

hi gladys,
this is a lovely view of the devon landscape with the unique and well weathered rocks in the foreground provided alot of interest. the hillside beyond is beautifully illuminated, with the clouds moving across the sky creating areas of light and shade on the landscape.

brian

Hello Gladys,
You certainly must keep fit with all the walking and climbing that you do, but this picture has definitely been worth all the effort of getting up here.
I love the framing of the picture by the huge chunks of granite - I hope that slab at the top wasn't about to land on your nut - and the wonderful lighting throughout the picture. You have managed to preserve good lighting on the foreground rocks as well as the beautiful light on the distant hills.
Fabulous depth of field too with everything in sharp focus from front to back: I suspect that the rocks in the foreground were just beyond arm's length away from you. Gorgeous natural colours, excellent sharpness and a fine sky to top it all off.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.
