This lonely building on the Tavistock to Princetown road is next to a disused fresh water reservoir.
The day we visited we were blessed with this lovely cloud formation rising behind it.

Hello Les - You have extracted every dramatic detail in this B&W image and I love it. From the textural grasses in the FG to the big expressive sky your work praises the natural world. This is very much my kind of shot! Beautiful. Warm regards Rosemary

Wonderful atmospheric shot from the English rural side. The beauty of these unique cloud formations has been accentuated by your choice of B&W. Like the way they all seem to be zooming in towards the house. Well taken and very good treatment. Thanks for sharing.

another big sky shot that works both dramatically and beautifully in this medium. I love the textures here and the enticing diagonal road disappearing out of frame. Excellent!
Have a good week - B.

A very peaceful rural landscape under a highly dramatic sky.
Wow, what a sea of clouds!
I like it very much in black & white but wonder how it would look like in colour.
Best regards, Paul

The clouds are marvellous and would have been worth a photo all by themselves. You were lucky to be able to combine them wit a peculiar scenery and a road going very nicely on a diagonal. As so often the B&W treatmenr draws my imagination back in time to some classical photos of the 1930's to -50's,

The black and white format suits this picture perfectly! A very special capture with impressive clouds above. I nearly get an impression the the clouds are forming a tornado, ready to hit that house...

Wonderful black & white picture!
What a magnificent sky!
Sharpness, exposure, horizontal format, slim black borders, chosen pov and composition are all excellent photo qualities!
TFS - congrats,

the clouds seem to issue from the house and it's a good idea to convert this picture in B&W to enhance that feeling.

beautiful picture and the most of it is thanks to the wonderful sky which you so masterly captured. Well given contrast enhanced the drama of the clouds over the lonely house. Good POV which placed some of the tall grass in the foreground and the road cutting through the scene at the right angle.
Thanks for sharing

This is very dramatic in b/w. I love the way that the cloud formation seems to radiate from the house. It is a very atmospheric shot with textural detail that suits the loneliness of the moorland road.
Kind Regards, Ann

Great sky. The image has a slight infra red feel about it in the way you have processed it too. i like the look you have given it. The house is placed centrally which purists of composition may not prefer but given that the lines of the sky radiate out form this point I think if it didn't the image would not have the same impact. Nice work.

Beautiful very dramatic picture, good POV and framing. I like the use of B&W.
