Although the sun shone yesterday, it was bitterly cold when we visited Hill Bridge on the River Tavy just above Peter Tavy where this shot was taken.
If you look closely you can see some debris clinging to the lower branches which give an indication of the level that the river rose to during recent rain.

A perfectly framed composition with ideal exposure. Evenly lit and with agreeable natural tones. Excellent textural detail to be observed in the foreground shingle.

Crikey! I had to look at this picture at its full size of 1400 pixels wide to find that debris you mention in your note. That debris really is very high in those branches so this river must have been incredibly swollen during your recent rainstorms. And, of course, I was able to see the stunning details and sharpness throughout this image at full resolution too.
Although you do not mention a filter in your note and as you say that this was a sunny day, I strongly suspect that you might have used your 10 stop ND filter for this one. Am I right? Otherwise I can't imagine how you have used a 1/4 second exposure for this scene.
Your slow shutter speed has smoothed the water beautifully in this fine composition which has lovely light and colours, perfect exposure and exquisite sharpness.
P.S. I got myself one of these 10 stop ND filters just last week and am dying to get out and try it out - sounds like good fun!

Un très beau point de vue qui inclut l'arbre et la rivière qui coule doucement dans le même cadre. On sent bien le mouvement de l'eau. As-tu essayé une plus petite ouverture et un plus long temps d'exposition?

A pity that we not can, hear the water, this is a very nice and quiet place with the stream of the river.
You choose a very well angle with a lot green and water in foreground.
Colours and presentation make these picture atractive
Nice panorama view too.
Very well done, TFS
Have a nice Sunday,

J'aime beaucoup ce genre de paysage avec une rivière et de vieux arbres tordus. Un beau tableau à peindre. La scène est parfaitement composée et l'arbre avec la mousse est superbe.
Félicitations et bonne semaine,

A pretty little river scene you have captured so well. These rivers were at such a record breaking height in the recent storms as you point out. They look so peaceful and calm in the spring. Great Pov, well managed.Tfs,

Like the well composed landscape and IMMO absence of sun created soft colors
Like also the use of low exposure, water becomes a king of silk ribbon quite atractive
Well done, regards
