It was late afternoon as we drove acroos the Moor between Meavy and Cadover Bridge when we saw this twisted weather beaten hawthorn tree beside a track leading on to open moorland.

An attractive well balanced composition. The rather scraggy tree sits well against that lovely sky. I like the subdued light and muted tones. Have a good weekend.

The pedants will immediately complain the horizon is tilted but if they look closer they will spot that the solitary tree in the fg is perfectly perpendicular on a flawless vertical axis. Good sharpness & nice subtle warm cold colour contrasts between blue and red in the sunset skies. Tfs!

What a particular landscape, I like the path beginning in foreground and joining horizon after hidden detours.
The three is great and you add value with the saturated colors.
Enjoy the week-end,

wow, what a interesting texture can be seen in the tree in right. Great composition. You spotted it superbly with the colourful atmosphere. A very good composition with superb depth, but astonished to see, that you use only f/5 to show it. Overall a marvellous photograph. Tfs.

The tree here really is well placed within the frame and its twisted form tells us so much about the location Les. I think the well saturated russet bracken makes a lovely contrast to the green hues. Lovely open landscape. Warm regards Rosemary

Just back from our travels and we miss Europe already.
A beautiful scene, you are so lucky to have this at your doorstep. And the fine weather is wonderful too I like the placement of the tree slightly off-centre and the superb depth of field and rich colours and light.
Nice work, hugs to you and G

this landscape looks like from a fairy tale. Especially the weird looking tree is great. I love these kind of trees.
A very picturesque sight and a great picture. Well captured!
