High up on the moor above Mary Tavy in summer the Tavy meanders amongst rocks and boulders through steep sided moorland, come winter this is a very different scenario after the rains come..

A very attractive composition this with lovely light and colours. The clear waters of the stream make a great lead-line toward the focal point offered by the trees. Excellent clarity. I wish you a pleasant and enjoyable Sunday.

You were able to capture excellently its beauty and convey its tranquil atmosphere.
The graphics of the image as well as its colors let the image looks almost like a painting.
For me-fascinating and beautiful!
Have a nice sunday

A lovely moorland shot Les and the tranquil spot you found, in what can be a dramatic and harsh environment, is beautifully captured. The stream brings life and light to the FG as it washes over the rocky bed. Lovely work. Warm regards Rosemary

You discover and capture beautiful landscapes in England
This is a well composed one, the small river frame b trees
Reflections on the so transparent water that the stones are easily seen

Although this might have been called only Dartmoor Stream which implies insignificance of the things, the photo you have taken produces good punch to all those name givers. Yeah, I mean it:) Colours are so vivid, and details are well preserved despite shooting towards the sun. In many cases, at least in my experience, this tends to be mission impossible; therefore I somehow avoid shooting to the sun… I wish I could produce such an effect. So far, I had a chance to encounter a “stream” like this but without having gadgets like today and had to preserve it in memory. What has remained in my memory is that, there is no better place to walk barefoot than in a mountain stream in sunny August days, or just sit for a while on its rocks after exhausting hikes in the hills.
