Photographer's Note

ST PETER'S CATHEDRAL EXETER.
It was rebuilt between 1258 and 1400 in one of the most beautiful "Decorated Gothic Style", although it kept much of the previous Norman building from the 12th century, including the two massive square towers.
It boasts the longest uninterrupted vaulted Gothic ceiling in the world (97 m).
It was while preparing this post that I learnt all about this "Gothic Decorated Style", which consists mainly in the polychrome bosses, seen in WS 4, 5 and 6. I had taken the photos, but didn't realise exactly what it was all about.
That's one of the things I like about TE. You learn more about your photos while preparing them for posting!
I wanted to share this masterpiece with you, on celebrating my 4 years on TE. I hope to go on for many more years, as I find this activity an enjoyable incentive to want to learn, amongst a group of happy friends, in which anybody is welcome.
Thanks to everyone!
