This is a typical scene on Dartmoor.
We started our walk in brilliant sunshine, and within five minutes the sky went black and it pelted with hail stones. After fifteen minutes the sky cleared and out came the sun again.
Always go prepared .

A dark and murky scene, I hope you were well prepared :-) It certainly makes for a very moody photo. Thanks for sharing.

Before I read your note, I looked at that sky and thought to myself that you were going to be in for a deluge! So I was right.
Which, of course, just goes to show how well you have depicted the sky in this picture, the dark heavy clouds, streaked at the edges, and a rather foreboding patch of overly bright sky - heralds of heavy rain or, in your case, a hailstorm.
The light here is divine even though it is threatening. And what I love best are the bright reflections off the tracks on the rough roadway, the tracks leading us nicely through the picture, past the little bush on the left and onwards to the distant hills.
Perfect exposure, lovely true colours and excellent sharpness.

The lower part of this picture is very well composed with this little road curving along the stone wall and the fence. The upper part, the sky, is really interesting! we read a lot about the flooding in England. You have indeed got a lot of rain here, I hope you are all-right.
