As the title suggests this shot was taken early on a perfect June morning with the sun yet to rise and mist rising in the distant Lyd valley.

A devil for punishment; the only time I get up that early is to catch a flight. But, just look at what I am missing. Another splendid composition featuring this bendy tree. Glorious light and colours from top to bottom. I wish you and Gladys a very pleasant weekend.

hello Les, the lone tree so curved is similar as in your other shot. Again, wonderful mists make this picture very attractive, and you are rewarded with the marvelous light for not spending the morning in bed. I would also get up so early if there would be a view like this somewhere near. Marvelous hills in the background.

What a beautiful landscape post! The pastel tonality and soft lights made the scene so impressive and spectacular. Well seen and composed one.

You teach us an interesting lesson in how to use the same tree over and over again and still make every photo look fresh and original. The background view is the same as before, only a lot more of it, and the early morning mist has the same attractively mysterious appearance. And yet this is quite a different picture.

I recognise this tree from your previous photo, and this wiğr view is really superb. The unusual shape of the tree is a brilliant scene in itself but to capture it with this color and the sky and the mist onthe hills is really beautiful. Well worth the early start to capture this fine scene.
Thanks as always

The length of the field is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details, the colors of the bales of hay and of the hills. The sunrise is giving nice colors to the scenery. Have a nice day.

this is a beaut. Lovely mellow light and distant morning mist. That hint of pink tells us the time. Nicely composed with the tree leaning in to the scene as if bowing in homage to a new day.

Oh dear, I see that Gladys has hauled you out of bed at sunrise - doesn't she realise that a young lad like you needs his sleep? And, what's more, shouldn't that poor tree be charging you royalties for the number of times you have photographed it?
Seriously, this is a beautiful photograph and well worth all the pain and suffering of an early rise. The bent tree certainly makes a statement as also does the mist clinging to the distant valleys, but what really makes this one so special for me is the subtle warm early morning sunlight on the stubble in the nearest foreground.
This picture typifies what an early summer morning is all about - that wonderful freshness, the early morning light, the promise of a glorious day ahead, that there really is a God above, and the true feeling that life really is worth living!

Just was writing a comment to Jason remembering this hour that I love so much in Summer with the fresh air and the pales colors of the day just beginning
As a child I like to ride a horse waiting for the green ray , but never saw it
Well done a real pleasure to watch

Another winning Landscape image Les! Crisp and clean FG detailing gives way to the misty pastels of the distant Devonshire countryside. Again you use that wonderful tree as an important compositional element. Beautiful!

sunrise in June is special, but requires such an early start. But when you get shots like this it is so uplifting and worthwhile. A painting-esque and beautiful capture - love it!
Enjoy your Sunday - B.

Wonderful soft light here ! The colours of the sky are very subtile and beautiful. The little mist in the valley adds something to the atmosphere. The field makes a good foreground and the small tree catches our attention very well. You composed very well your picture !

A very good example that shows us that it is the early bird that catches the worm. The light so early in the morning is lovely and the light mist adds a lot of charm to the already beautiful and tranquil scene. Lovely pastel colors in the sky as well.
But how on earth do you manage to get up so early ....? Impossible for me.
have a great sunday

Your "lonesome trees" are getting a "trademark" of yours.
This landscape capture with this windbent tree at left is also very nice in it's compo and layout.
Nice soft colors.
TFS and best regards
