Getting up early is a real treat to look across the valley before sunrise, and see the mist rolling around the hedges and trees.4 miles away on the horizon Brentor church can be seen.

Hi Gladys. Same image as the earlier one but different PP? I think I like the first more as it was more ephemeral. Of course in such a spot whatever the treatment in saturation and individual colour enhancement, the place continues to cast its spell. Regards. Klaudio.

Were it not for the colourful sky and the band of green moorland in the foreground, this picture would immediately have been thought of as being monochrome.
The light is truly stunning and the effects of the low mist are wonderful as we see the near trees silhouetted against it, the low fields filled with it and Brenton Church, which we know so well from pictures posted both by yourself and Les, rising proudly above it in the distance.
Gorgeous light and colours, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.
Yet another of your pictures which shows the benefits of early morning rising!

Amazing what you can see if you get up early:-) The sublime orange tones of the sky make a lovely contrast with the landscape still in darkness. Love that misty atmosphere. I wish you and Les a great weekend.

Your early get up rewarded you with beautiful photo. I like the composition with silhouetted trees in the foreground, many layers of fog between the hills and early morning orange sky in the background. Good quality shot.
