[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Still in the grounds of Renishaw Hall, there is this folly.Known as 'The Arch in the Park'.
Who knows whether it ever had a proper roof? It hasn't now.
The building is similar to a gate house but, there is no gate.
The building was built of beautiful sandstone on the outside with interior walls of brick.
I liked all the shapes and textures of this place.

Renishaw Hall is privately owned and still occupied. The gardens are open to the public.

Thanks for your visit.

Hello, Jean.

By Jove, you're being very prolific these days! I've just added a critique to your latest picture on TL two minutes ago!

Anyway, this is a lovely shot. The textures in the stonework are superb and, yet again, you have managed to get perfect exposure in the darkest and lightest bits. I suppose the lack of a roof helps when shooting interiors from outside - it lets more light in as well as the rain!

In fact, I was just thinking that you could have used this for Helen's theme this coming Friday! Maybe you got a few more shots in this place?

Very nice indeed and a good note too.

Best Wishes,

John.

Hi Jean, I like this simple but beautiful composition with its double frame. It seems that nature is devouring/reclaiming man's monuments here. Well done!
Regards,
Ryno

Hello Jean,
Very nice and unusual photo, with an harmony of green. The light coming from the two windows in very well captured. Maybe the photo can be better with the window out of center... Just an idea...
Best regards,
Catherine

Hi Jean, you used an ideal POV and frame here.
The depth effect is great, the light control very good.
The sharpness and contrast are also very good for the details.
