A view of Kinder Downfall as the River Kinder plunges over the edge of the plateau of Kinder Scout. Taken on a very windy and stormy day and in these conditions most of the water from the fall gets blown back onto the plateau, an amazing sight! The fall is around 30 metres high, the tallest in Derbyshire.
A scan of a slide taken sometime in the early/mid 1980's on a Rollei 35 LED camera.

I guess it was very dangerous to shoot this image ;) ?
It's always nice to see some old images , taken from ancient cameras.

whilst the original image is almost 30 years old the drama of the day is very apparent with the spray from the falling water being blown back up and over the plateau.
Rather you than me...
Best regards Les.
