We drove to Ashbourne where we spent an hour, wandering in the city streets and then came back to visit the well dressed of Tissigton. As we left the cars parked in the meadow, the rain started to pour gently but constantly, and colorfull umbrellas and raincoats appear suddenly with every person.
In the WS, the same family looking at a well dressed (the subject of the village visit!)
My objective during these 2 days meeting was street photography, so .........

Ha! Ha! Claude, I photographed this same child near a well dressing but deleted it, in favour of one without figures! The colours of the clothes match well with the rural setting; they tell a visual tale of the conditions, too.
A very well composed shot.
Have a good day,

I really love the colour. I always thought that the yellow didn't match the British sky( a lot of dull and grey),but it works here beautifully.
Even in the rain, one can see people were still in high spirits, the child was waving to you... give us another few years when we get together in front of the fire one day, recall the raining day when we met there... we would say:"Ah.. it wasn't so bad...":-D
Have a nice day!

Une composition intéressante, qui montre qu'avec la pluie on peut obtenir de bons résultats.
C'est bien fait, couleurs contrastantes, une scène agréable.

Despite the grim weather which we had in Derbyshire last week, you appear to have managed to capture some very appealing candid shots!
And this is a delightful one taken on that rainy day in Tissington. The two people are perfectly placed in the frame and there's some activity there too with the child waving or pointing to something. The background of bright yellow buttercups is lovely and is in strong contrast to the dark trees in the distance.
Lovely soft light and vibrant colours, good composition and exposure and excellent details and sharpness.
P.S. A fine workshop picture too but, as you say, the sky that day was dreadfully white!

Yes it was very rainy so you have done well here to bring some colour to the scene whcih works becasue of the contrast of the blue coats and the green grass. the people are positioned perfectly on the thirds and that dash of yellow and dark green add further contrast. The use of colour suggests not only a photographers eye but a painters eye too!

They have weird kind of streets in the UK...
I like how the colors pop out.

This is an excellent example of rainy day photography. The colours are rich (love the yellow dividing the grass from the trees). The two people are perfectly placed walking into the frame.
Kind Regards, Ann
