| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Chesterfield is not known for many things but it is known for its dodgy church spire. Dating back to 1362, the church of Saint Mary and All Saints has a wooden spire. Unfortunately the spire was made from unseasoned timber and consequently over the years the wood has warped and twisted with the above result.
Better than perfection any day, if you ask me!

A nice view down along the street to this unusual feature. It looks as if someone has been let loose with a copy of photoshop (but I know this is 100% real!). An interesting local sight & good contribution.
