[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken shortly before I took the picture that was to be my 1st post to TE http://www.trekearth.com/images/photos/990/rock-in-dove-dale.jpg.
This one of the sources of water that start to make the River Dove. The beautifully clear water was bubbling up through the rocks at the back of this small cave , possibley man made looking for lead ore. There is a small hole in the upper part of the back wall in it was a wrens nest ( very small shy brown bird).
The side of the river has a very well trodden path used at week-ends by a lot people to go for a stroll, but on a monday morning in March there was nobody else really peaceful, it got a little bit bussier in the afternoon with school parties coming to look and learn about the typical Limestone landscape.

It really looks as if one is looking into the gullet of Mother Earth, uvula and all. The dof is great inside the cave, but a bit soft on the outside. Hyperfocal distance should fix this type of problem. The water too, just needs a littile bit more encouagement to sparkle as it tickles out of the frame. But overall, I think you did well. This is not an easy type of shot to take in the first instance!
