Photographer’s Note
Another view of Rydal Water. As previously mentioned, this small body of water is easily accessible from the road. There is a fairly flat, well maintained, path around this little lake and the adjoining Grasmere to Grasmere village. Rydal Water is only a couple of miles from the town of Ambleside in the Lake District.

Bonjour Keith,
quelle luminosité et quelle clarté, les couleurs, tu les as laissées naturelles bien que peu saturées, mais tu as respecté ce que voyait l'oeil.
Belle nature à peine humanisée.
Best regards.
Daniel.

Hi Keith,
Congratulations on getting this nice composition! The soft color and reflection really works for me, its almost like a painting.
Cheers,

I like this very much. However, in my opinion it could be improved by losing some off the top of the frame in order to give that wonderful reflection more emphasis.

Hi Keith,
I really like your lovely Ambleside series and I'm hardpressed to chose my favorite. This one is well-framed with the angle of the road on the hillside repeating in the reflection. I like the wonderful detail and the soft colors that are brighter in the reflection. All-over, your compo conveys a great sense of peace.

Calme et sérénité sont les maîtres mots de vos photographies en général. Celle-ci est particulièrement belle. J'aime beaucoup le reflet. Félicitations.

Nice overall pastel painterly-feel to this shot. Perhaps the saturation could have been brought up a touch but still really strong. Regards, Doug

I love the reflections. It's a shame that the water wasn't calmer to really emphasise them more. Nothing you could do about that though. I particularly like the way that the green tree and the red boathouse really stand out from the muted colours of the background

Lovely picture Keith, with great use of reflections in the water and some very delicate post production work in photoshop I'll be bound.
I am never convinced with portrait aspect for this sort of view, and I am never happy with mine. They are always a little too narrow for composition - this picture would have been even better in landscape view (or even two pics stitched together (see my Glen Doll pic if you are interested).
Never the less this is a great photo, well done.
