Photographer’s Note
Good Morning Everyone,
Last week, my husband and I, met up with fellow photographer Kath (Feather) and her husband, at Grasmere in the Lake District.
We had decided upon a walk from that most beautiful of villages but found, on arrival, that the tourist information office was no longer in existence. Anyway, a personable cafe proprieter recommended a walk to Easdale, promising to send out a search part if we hadn't returned within four hours!
Her recommendation was a good one! The walk was all the things you expect in The Lakes: ruggedly beautiful, colourful, breathtaking, thought provoking and, at times, awe inspiring. The fine weather assisted our enjoyment and, of course, was better for photography.
This is the beginning of our walk, where the stony path is leading through flatter fields towards the steep valley of Sour Milk Ghyll.
I'm pleased to say, the search party was unnecessary and we had a fabulous day!
Many thanks for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
You certainly seemed to have had beautiful weather for your walk, not always something guaranteed in the Lakes I think :-) The point of view is well chosen making good use of the curving path and fence lines to direct our gaze to the lovely scenery in the background. The early autumn colours are nicely rendered with good colours and excellent clarity. Thanks for sharing.

Hallo Beverley!
Yes, that's an inviting path into an obviously really multifaceted landscape. You have had a wonderful light that day. I also like the note here very much!
I hope, we'll see another pictures of this hike! ;-)
Greetings from a grey, cold and rainy Germany! Brrr!

Hi Beverley,
this trail looks very inviting and hopefully you will return with a lot of other fascinating images. Very beautiful impression of this wonderful landscape taken from an excellent POV. Most of all I like the beautiful light and these still green colors of the vegetation. A great capture!

Hi Beverley,
I like this simple and yet picturesque landscape :) Very pleasant colours - and even a bit of the blue sky!
Very good choice of POV - with the slightly curved path taking our look in the most natural way towards the distant mountains. I wouldn't mind taking a walk there, too ;)
Kind regards,
and have a nice weekend!

Hello Beverley
The curving stony path adds good lead in lines. I like the subtle warm cold colour contrast, between the reddish tinted hills top right, & the blue sky. Tfs!

Hello Beverley,
And you had a wonderful weather during your outing, a few clouds on the blue sky always look better in images!
The fence leads nicely into the varied landscape, with a mix of low vegetation and naked summits...
Well framed, excellent colours and details!

Hi Bev,
Looks like Kath and you had a beautiful day for hiking and clicking.
Very nice shot of the lush green farmlands and ancient stone fence that leads to the rugged hills and contrasting blue sky.
