Good Morning Everyone,
Loweswater is one of my favourite lakes in the Lake District. It is less well known than many, which is surprising since it has spectacular scenery and a very spacious accommodating pub to slake one's thirst at the end of a long walk.
Lowe Fell (the hill in the b/g) is high enough to have its head in the clouds. Even on a lovely day, like this, the clouds skimmed its summit.
I wish you a happy day, Bev :-)

This is a very beautiful view and a very good picture. I like the little inclusion of foreground that brings a good depth to the scene. Very fine autumnal colours and perfect reflection of the impressive mountain.

Looks like a glorious autumn day for a long walk in the country, especially if there is a welcoming pub at the end:-) I like the framing offered by the trees with the sunlit peak and the hovering cloud making an excellent focal point. Lovely light and soft autumnal tones to match.

This is a very charming view of the lake with the mountain in the background that has so many lovely colours including the vegetation at the bottom. The framing as always is spot on and you used the filter effectively to provide fine clarity without sacrificing naturalness.
Thanks for sharing and have a great day.

A very beautiful capture. Nice POV using the bushes to frame the shot. Lovely light and shade given from the clouds on the hills and greenery, also a very nice reflection .

bella composizione, il riflesso, molto delicato, aggiunge un fascino maggiore all'intera foto.
Bella luce e bei colori, tutto ben dosato.

A lovely captured, beautifully framed with the foliage . I like the subtle , muted colours of the mountain and reflections against the stronger more defined wooded slope in the centre.
Lovely sharpness and nice composition
Thanks for sharing, enjoy your weekend

Ciao cara Beverley

Nice landscape of the Lake district, with the reflection of the mountain in the still water. I don't like the fence at bottom, and find the colors too dull, so it's a good occasion to try a worshop.
See you soon

Hello Bev - The pretty pastel palette gives your shot a gentle, restful mood Bev. I agree somewhat with Claude regarding the fence post in the FG and would have thought it better if it was sharper. A tiny bit more contrast might work too but I think the WS has lost the mood. The shot shows just how attractive the Lakes are.

A lovingly framed picture (good use of the greenery), with fine soft/natural colours. Congratulations.

England is relatively low mountains terrain, and a high hill like Lowe Fell is immediately considered a high mountain, Beverly.
I agree, the place is "spectacular scenery", charming landscape, and well taken photo about.
The water surface gave yet another dimension with its reflection.

Another very nice landscape capture in your gallery.
With perfect pov and layout.

This is very beautiful landscape post taken from a well selected POV with a great angle. The soft lights and natural tones made the view very attractive but the water reflections did a fantastic work to make it eye catching. Love it! TFS!

while living in UK I managed to visit Lake District three times and every time this place was different, but every time we stopped way to long to take photos to the point it annoyed the rest of the group :-)
I like this one a lot for its serene mood and very peaceful atmosphere which emanates from every detail. The smooth surface of the lake, the pastel colors of the hills and its gentle slopes, bushes naturally framing the picture...the result is beautiful.
Well done! TFS!

A very beautiful place!
A very attractive and pleasant-looking picture too!
I really like everything here, except for the lower part of it, because I thinkg those elements ("posts" and "wires") could have been avoided, if possible! Of course, nothing serious and just a matter of taste!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, horizontal format, black & white borders and composition with those reflections are all very good photo qualities!
TFS - congrats,

Beau paysage du lac et des montagnes joliment bien cadrer entre les les feuillages, jolies teintes douces et de beaux reflets, belle réalisation

I did notice that photos from the western part of Lake District are more attractive. Sadly I had so far the chance only to visit the eastern part. It was still pretty but I sense the western part is more photogenic, more wild as well. I hope I will have a chance to visit it in the future although it may be not as easy as it sounds.
Beautiful scenery here with the mountain appearing as being so high and so close to the lake. Nice framing with trees on both sides. The reflection is pretty too with a lot of color.
Very well done!!!
macjake (68476) 2014-04-30 7:18
yes, its easy to see why you'd have your heart set on this place, who wouldn't.
the lighting is excellent, it seems to be almost highlighting the mountain exclusively.
water reflections, clouds, mountains, peaceful scenery, attractive lighting...all the elements are here.
well taken. I'm sure you enjoyed your time here, and maybe at the pub too :)

I was attracted to your Loweswater scene for its majestic mountains mirrored in the still water. The only thing missing is a classical gothic castle but then that would be the stereotype we Yanks expect, and Nature does a better job.
Thanks for sharing,
PS: The Native Americans have been exploited in many different ways and forcing them to dance in feathered costumes was popular with tourists for at least a century. Even though tourists probably go to see them dance at the New Mexico Cultural Center, at least now they are in control with no outside interference, and they do share their culture in traditional and accurate displays. All of the sins of the whiteman's past are missing here.
