Photographer’s Note

Blencathra is one of the most northerly mountains in the English Lake District. It has six separate fell tops, of which the highest is the 868 metre (2,848 foot) Hallsfell Top. This shot was taken whilst travelling to Keswick on business. It was cold but a beautiful sunshiny day.

Breathtaking, breathtaking beautiful! What a wonderful sight. I like especially this contrast between the snow and the autumn colours in the valleys. You have had a very favourable light here. A great photo!

excellent photo, so clear and with wonderful colours. And the composition is fantastic, very well seen to put the house to the very left and use the larger tree in the middle as the central point of you photo.

Bonjour Fara,
une photo qui me fait penser à beaucoup de pays et étonnament, pas au Royaume-Uni.
Je ne peux dire qu'une chose, elle est bien sous tous rapports cette photo, j'aime spécialement le cadrage assorti à un format un peu panoramique avantageux ici.

Wonderful light and colors. 800 meters in England look like 4000 meters in Italy ! Amazing landscape picture.

Hello Fara,
absolutely lovely landscape with great colours and sharpness. The house is placed well - forces the viewer to give attention to whole picture, not only to the dominant snowy tops. (Awesome job - if you can stop at such places during work.)

Wonderful dimension .. I love the light on the Earth under the darker sky .. I love the sense of scale and mood from the ruined building .. beautiful palette under beautiful light.
