The wonderful thing about the English Lake District, is the fact you are surrounded by beautiful scenery, on which shines ever changing light. This shot is taken about 1km north of Crummock Water on a lovely sunny day - the next day when I passed along this road the hill was shrouded in mist and rain, and you would think someone had quite simply turned off the colour - the scene was that gray.
Post pro, adjusted mid-tone contrast slightly then sharpened.

Great contrast and colors in your photo. I think that using the CP helped a lot in exposing very well the whole dynamic range. Those clouds look very well.

Impressive mountain landscape Alex. I like how you came in close and settled for a few objects instead of taking an overall view.

I completely agree with Ebbe. This makes the composition simple and we can concentrate on the colours & shapes better.
Here I can almost breath in that fresh air!
