Photographer’s Note
I gave this a long exposure to bring out the foliage, I used a tripod do do this BTW.
From the Net...
'Stanley Ghyll Force is a 60 foot high waterfall in a deep and narrow gorge, where rhododendrons on high ledges and precipices give an almost oriental feel to the area.
The force is reached either from the car park at the Dalegarth Station of the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, or the nearer National Trust car park.
Extreme care is needed in places, as the path is very steep and unfenced'.

Excellent shot Stephen! I like the lush quality of the vegetation, with lots of great moss and ferns there. Of course the flowing lines of the waterfall are the star attraction here. Beautiful!

Hi Stephen,
I'm back after 18 months.
Nice to see that you stick to the Olympus.
On the picture: trial and error on the long exposure? The result is pleasing.

The water looks like the forest has hung a satin sheet out to dry, lovely image and well captured. The only thing i think is you get no sense of perspective, i cant really get the sense that it is 60ft. But regardless of that, it is a really great image and thanks for sharing.
