[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
You may recognize the rocks in the distance here as the Quies which sit just off Trevose head on the north Cornish coast. This beach is known as Booby's Bay and is popular with surfers although it's very dangerous with rip tides and other currents.

The beach is great for the photographer as it has a myriad of rocks, pools, pebbly parts, sandy bits and it changes all the time. Always best in the early evening as the sun goes down.

I spotted this image as I was on my way down to the water's edge. I like the pattern in the sand, leading to the flat calm of the trapped water in the pool.

Regards
Lindsay

Lovely image. Good sharpness, contrast, colours, and composition. Congratulations!

See you on TE!!

A beautiful use of the wide angle lens.
The pattern on the sand are very eye catching.
An excellent work

Hi Lindsey,
The contrasts in tones across the image make for an eye-catching image, and although it's a silhoutted shot, the success here comes from the abstract style look of the rippled foreground. This image demonstrates perfectly that you do not require some animate object to dominate the foreground.....you've captured a textured beach to provide the focal point. Excellent.
Cheers Grant

What a beautiful picture. Nice sharpness, compo and colors. Everything so much well-balanced! BRAVO.

Hi Lindsay,

Oh wow. I'm applauding you for this one! This is just so well seen. I mean, most people would just walk through these sandy lines. Such a small detail making the composition. Nice effect of the ND Grad and probably also a soft yellow? Funny to see that you take this at 40mm. Sometimes you'll find it too wide, where I feel with my 1.5x crop D200 too often that it could have been a bit wider. Very nice work!

Greetings,
Dennis

A very well-seen image. The foreground is amazing. Teh water in the middle is a bit oe while the rocks behind are ue, but this doesn't ruin the beauty of the photo. Congrats.

Hi Lindsay,
The way you photographed this natural site makes it a very graphical subject. I like the lines on the sand and the reflections in the water. The warm colours are very nice too. Thanks for posting.
