Excellent scene with the lady making this shot so dynamic the way she's looking out onto the water. I also like your strong saturation of the little boats and heavy contrast. The sharpness is also very good and there is lots of depth.

Classic composition John - the old lady looking out over the harbour really draws the eye into the scene. I'd have preferred it with her on the left side of the bench, but not much you could do about that.
Setting some exposure compensation (-0.3 or so) would have helped you reduce the slight over-exposure in the white areas of the scene, but in terms of the composition the shot is first-rate. The cloudy sky is the icing on the cake - typical British seaside weather.

Superb shot!
I like your pov very much. It makes me feel to be sharing the view with the lady! There are plenty of details to observe!
The shot is very sharp and has a good dof. The reflections, the colour tones and the dramatic sky give lots of extra interest to the shot.

A very nice and peaceful image. I think have the lady in the image really makes it work. She also helps focus our attention into the scene. All of the technicals details are right where they belong. IMO, the clouds are the star of this image. Well done!

Hi John, I've said it before, but it is worth saying again. I like how you can take a simple scene and make it look very good. This is a simple scene of a lady looking out over the water. With your composition set the way it is we end up looking with the ladies eyes out over the scene. There are three points of interest in this shot which set up a triangular effect. We look from the lady out to the boats and then up to the city. You have it all in good sharp detail with great colour, and all beautifully blanketed by that blue sky with clouds.

Your note is giving a lot of information. The point of view is giving depth to the photo which is well framed. The person on the banch has an excellent view of the harbour and of the city. The light brings out the colors. A place to relax and enjoy the day. Have a good weekend.

What a luminosity in the image!!! It is very pleasant and I see that this woman appreciates too. Very pretty panorama on this harbour. I'm intrigued by the comment claiming that there is slight overexposure on the whites of this shot. Rest assured that I can see no overexposure at all. The exposure has in fact been managed to perfection. The composition is well seen. A beautiful piece of photography.

As usual in your posts, a beautiful place masterfully photographed. The compo is perfect and gorgeous, I almost feel tempted to believe that you ordered the boats to be aligned that way so they could combine so well with the bench on the FG. The clouds, the light, the colours, the sharpness, are all great also. I like the presence of the lady, it aids us imagining be seated beside her enjoying the view.

The view of the harbour is really beautiful. I love the inclusion of the lady in the bench. It makes it very vivid and also original. I guess thousands of look-a-like photos have been taken from a position just behind the fence. Excellent photo job!

It is a very nice composition and the woman on the bench is really perfectly placed. The strong white lines of the barriere contrast a lot with this nice city with all its details in the background. The sky is really great, typical of what it can be quite often in England, when it doesn't rain too much ;-)

This lovely lady is enjoying a spectular view full of vibrant colors and wonderful depth. The pale blue sky with its low clouds looks wonderful above the traditional English homes in this charming village. Falmouth is the name of several small villages along the cost of New England in the US.

I just viewed your recent shots, and found this delightful scene from England. Yes, there's a little over-exposure of the white rails and the lady's blouse, but that is always difficult when pure white. I like the position of the lady on the seat - it looks like she is waiting for another person to come. Very sharp capture of the buildings and yachts, and a great sky. Very pleasing seaside picture.

I liked this pov and the place too. The light is nice and the compo too. I think if you had put it in B&W it could be more dramatic. Anyway it is a nice work
