Trevose, a photo from Cornwall, England

Photographer's Note

Trevose Lighthouse. Cornwall, England. Taken just as the sun was going down, this shot became beautifully illuminated by the sinking sun, which appeared briefly for a few minutes then disappeared again. Cornwall is a wonderful place for photography and this is one of my favourite shots from this part of the world.

Nikon D90. F/L 18MM. F9. EXP 1/100. Handheld.

Hi Nigel. I do like the mood here, one of remoteness and elemental forces at play.Superb control of exposure accentuates the gradation of light and richness of colour. Great composition too with all that lovely detail in the foreground. Well done. Regards. Klaudio.

Hello, nice light and colors. Very sharp especially for a handheld shot. Good composition.
Looks like a good place to go walking. Especially good choice to include the rock in the foreground with side light on it.

Hello Nigel.
Marvellous shot so well lit by the slanting golden rays of the falling sun. Great composition, somewhat 'classical' in its proportions and well blessed with foreground detail to create depth. Sharpness and richness of colour make this one a stand-out. The place looks lonely yet welcoming at the same time, if that is possible. Nicely done.

Hello Nigel - What a superb seascape. The light is really wonderful and I love the way it falls across the image touching it with warmth and subtle highlights. An excellent classic composition, pin sharp with glorious colours and atmosphere. Top class and a joy to see. Warm regards rosemary

Hi Nigel,
Very nice shot ! The different plans in the picture add depth. The low light makes the autumn colours beautiful. I love too the sky in the background. The waves makes us feel the power of the sea.
