Yesterday we visited Duckpool on the North Cornwall coast, the wind was whipping the sea into a wall of water that battered the rocky coastline.
The wind was so strong that it was only to take a few shots from behind the shelter of the parked car which is why the long lens was used.

Looks a good sea for surfers, but I'm no expert. You have framed the shot well with the rocks on the right creating depth and adding interest to the scene. I like the light and colours.

un belle prise de vue, cadrage intéressant avec les rochers sur la droite.
La mer avec ses vagues est impressionnante

Hello Leslie, very nice image here. I guess bad weather is everywhere in Europe now. Good take here, including the cliffs on the right. Nice colors and good sharpness.

A raging sea indeed! And I can fully appreciate why you had to take shelter from the wind (and probably spray too) to take this one.
A very fine composition in which you have managed the light extremely well. Seen at full size, this is a far more impressive picture than when viewed at just 790 pixels wide on the "new" version of TE and we can see all the wonderful details in the rocks and those fierce waves.
Lovely light and colours, perfect exposure and excellent details and sharpness.

Nice view of rampaging sea with those really high waves. Very attractive natural framing with the cliffs on the right. Choppy sea with high winds do pose a threat but it has its own beauty as well and you have captured the beauty very well over here. Thanks for sharing a good photo with natural lights and colour.

The seagulls seem to have no problems. Possibly they're able to let them float on the wind currents. But catching fish in such turbulent water wiil be more difficult.
Excellent capture of the huge waves. Good inclusion of the rocks on the foreground.
Best regards, Paul

indeed the sea was not calm on that particular day and you managed to catch the drama and dynamism very well. The rocks and some grass covered path in the foreground catch an eye and the lonely flying bird is well placed in the opposite corner.
The colors are very pretty and the sharpness well given.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice Sunday!

It really seems to be a strong wind here and I can easily imagine the roaring waves. A well composed picture with a good connection between the rocks and the sea.

What a furious sea, understand why you use the long distance lens and obtained in a safe way such good capture
Like the composition with the rocks at the right and front, impresive view if seem at the big format, nature in full action

It doesn't surprise me that you needed the car as a shelter. I would only go near this place with great caution. The view is impressive, and scary, and at least it wasn't raining (just temporarily, I guess). I like the combination of storm and bright sunshine and the perfectly exposed surf.
