Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

This photograph shows some of the buildings which make up the estate of Dunham Massey. I'm not sure what this building was originally, but at the moment it is a very popular café ... note the crowds!

Dunham Massey is a Tudor building constructed just at the end of Elizabeth I's reign. The original owners were obviously either thrifty or saw the need for conservation, for they threw very little away; consequently there is lots of original Tudor furniture on view.

The house looks very Georgian now, due to renovations, but it is one of the most beautiful houses, in spectacular grounds, that you will ever see.

You can easily spend a whole day exploring the house and its many out buildings, as well that the extensive deer park.

I have included a link here which will tell you much about the house.

I wish you a happy day, Bev :-)
