Good Morning Everyone,

You may remember my previous post here which showed Little Moreton Hall, its path and entrance. This shot shows the view through the entrance, into the inner courtyard, where there is much more to see.

I hope you will be able to appreciate the irregularity of the structure, the decoration and the excessive use of glass, a real statement of wealth.

I will show, as a w/s, a testament to the creator of the windows. He must have been a very well respected tradesman or a personal friend of the Moretons, to have been allowed to advertise in such a prominent way

Can you imagine, horses or horse drawn carriages, emerging through this entrance and making a huge clattering noise as they travelled over the cobbled surface!
