Photographer’s Note

Following on from yesterday's posting, here are some more black and white houses, though this time rather older - these are Tudor houses on Lower Bridge Street, Chester. The street is now a pedestrianised shopping street, the shops being in the two storeys below this. Chester is, I believe, unique in having this style of shopping arcades - known as 'the rows' because there are shops located on two levels, one at street level and another on the first storey accessible by steps.
I rotated the image a degree and cropped slightly just to respect the symmetry of this magnificent facade. Again, you will see that the sky can be blue in England! I have just noticed that I took this exactly a year ago... thankfully the sky was just as blue today in Switzerland :-)
