Photographer's Note

Planted some 250 years ago these Limes have endured the attentions of people like Capability Brown who would fell large avenues because of the staight lines. These are the few that survived, left as a clump rather than an avenue. Then there have been the storms raking across the brow of the hill, 1987 saw some fail the test but these, well they are still there and hopefully will long see me out. Nice view over Arrington parish towards the setting sun. Can't gat this exact view because of the fence I had to put up for the stock. Shouldn't be there but the poor old deer park has been subdivided by unsightly modern stock fencing
