Photographer’s Note

Kings College in Cambridge (UK). This photo was taken just before the rain started. The sun was peeking through the thick layer of black clouds and lit the magnificent buildings in a very special way.
Also note that the clouds seem to adjust to the shape of the spires.
I have increased the image size somewhat and added some extra sharpness (as advised by MarianneS).

Wonderful shot and excellent POV. very sharp as well. despite the omniously dark clouds above the entire effect strongly reflects a certain stableness and, of course, charm. thanks for sharing :)

I see you have made some changes on it already. Good advice, it's much better now. I like this pov and the dark sky, even theshadows in foreground. The atmosphere is great here.

Bert,
This is an excellent shot of fine architecture. The angle of the shot is fine giving the scene a nice sense of direction. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail. The long shadows lead the eye into the shot nicely. The dark clouds over the brightly lit buildings provided excellent contrast.
