Photographer’s Note

Back to some more traditional images from me. Here in Bristol, a new £500 million shopping centre has opened. Right in time for the economic crisis! I've decided to document as much as I can these new times at "Cabot Circus"

So here we go... join me in my next series as we "Enter the Circus!"

This is the walkway from the very interestingly shaped new multi storey car park into the shopping centre.

During the development of Cabot Circus 20 artists and designers, working with a diversity of artistic disciplines were commissioned to contribute to the public realm and architectural landscape of the centre.

what a psychedielic walkway this is leilani, makes me dizzy looking at it... and a real photogenic one i have to say, for a cool graphic shot in all its glory... your compo isa bit too crowded may be but still very good...

Hi Leilani,

it is nice to see that there is some effort put to design walkways to shopping centres with some amount of ambition. Here with us...oh well, I will rather not start... :) Anyway, this pattern of sloping lines create a feeling of vortex that sucks people in (probably to attract into the shopping centre :). A really dynamic ambient is created which was additionaly accented with great use of BW conversion. Very graphical, alive. I guess only thing left to say is: have a great shopping! :))

Very good optical effect, a hard graphic composition that works really well and gives a special composition full of movement.

Good capture and good election to post in B&W.
