Photographer’s Note
So... if I keep on posting the train station shots I run a risk of being called a trainspotter. I've already been mistaken for one at the station. However, I'm not a trainspotter. Honest.
For me the whole process of train travel is daunting. I find the rigour of understanding the time tables a nightmare. Not to mention the possibility of missing it or getting on the wrong one (I have done this many times) and having to wait for another. I am also not a fan of sitting next to strangers. One of many reasons that I am also not a fan of buses. The one thing I do love is travel and bustling places, ironic isn't it? I love airports, train stations, being on a planes, trains and automobiles. I also find the underground fascinating. I like people watching... just please do not sit next to me ;-)
I have some more train shots and I'm not afraid to show them ;-). The architecture and light at Bristol Temple Meads was inspiring. The funny thing is that I took the train into Bristol to go on a photo shooting expedition. Yet I came away with not very many interesting shots in Bristol. The only ones that I liked were the train station photos. So, perhaps I am a trainspotter. :D
This was taken in colour and converted to Monochrome. When compressing this I had to go down quite a bit, down to 94%.

Hi Leilani,
The black & white format is perfect for this motive. It is like a scene from an old movie, like something is going to happen here. This picture definitely tells a story!

It was very funny to read your note. I feel the same way some times. I like the excitement of big crowds, but I don't want to sit next to some stinky stranger.
Your B&W photos are gorgeous. This one is very striking. The composition is very clever. I love how all the lines lead our eyes towards the one person standing next to the train. Great work.

Ryan

This is such a good image Leilani deserving of far more comment and attention - the tonal range is great and the sweep of the station (which i know so well) is so well caught but the real icing on the cake is the nicely positioned figure at the end of that run of wet reflection.....a very nice shot.
best wishes Kev

I like trains a lot.
You have very well presented its train station. Very good composition, very good POV, and there is a lot of atmosphere thanks to black and white and wet traces on the pavement.
Very good one.
Best regards. Grazyna.

Olá Leilani, this reminds me the Rossio train station in Lisbon. This shot is quite successful. Excellent perspective giving a good comprehension of the space and nice mood from the wet pavement. I like the detail of the human sillouette against the bright train in the background, although that interesting situation is a bit far away. I feel the lack of something stronger in FG. Still, it's a well presented picture and a pleasant one to look at.

Not my personal style, (aah it's too artistic for my stupid yes, just like Kev's photos:-)) the use of geometry is brilliant here, the fact that the platform in the fg is wet adds more interest to the lower right quarter of the frame. The presence of the figure at right is also a plus. It was a nice film (Trainspotting), I watched it years ago.
