Photographer’s Note
*ding ding ding* we're sorry, but the 1800 always late, or canceled, major rail service to London Paddington Station has been delayed.
Looks like the poor pigeon won't make his meeting on time...again.
Black and white taken at Bristol Temple Meads station.

A good one. I like the compo with the curve of the rails, the grey weather, the strong b/w and that pigeon there just for you:-)
Well seen, great mood and funny note to go with it. You could have used a higher ISO to have a shorter exposure time, that would have been easier for you. I think the pigeon could be a little sharper.

Hello Leilani
Excellent graphic shot. There's a good DOF and the curve makes a dynamic picture.
The BW is a good idea to create a special mood, which works well with the desert station.
Well done.

Karine

Hi Leilani.
Superb 'old-world' B&W conversion with a modern sweeping curves composition. Be careful taking shots at stations as they are not 'public places' and I've been almost turfed out of Liverpool Street a couple of times for trying to take shots...!
Hope your prediction of the 18:00 from Temple Meads is wrong as I'll be down there on Thursday / Friday this week!
Kind regards, Paul.

Ahh the ole' pigeon! I think I recognise that one from the London Tube. Train to Paddington and then straight down the underground. Always a fair hopper; never ever pays! What a cheek!
There's a lovely feeling to your shot - I have stood on that platform a few times and can imagine a steamer coming through, bellowing smoke up into the air.
I am not sure how much pp you did with this shot, but I wonder if you could gain a little in the dark areas. It may be my monitor though.
All the best, casper

Hi Leilani,
That curve makes a strong composition. And look quite steep for a railway line, I can imagine steel wheels making noise there. 'Bristol' sign is a good detail, and so is the pigeon, although it doesn't seem to be quite on focus.

even if I am not a big fan of very quiet frames, you've done a nice work on the composition...

Hi Leilani,
excellent capture. I like dynamic emptyness and the bird in expectation of a train. Beautiful BW work with great POV.
Kind regards,
Jeri
