Bristol view I
Bristol (Listeni/ˈbrɪstəl/) is a city, unitary authority area and ceremonial county in South West England, with an estimated population of 433,100 for the unitary authority in 2009, and a surrounding Larger Urban Zone (LUZ) with an estimated 1,070,000 residents in 2007. It is England's sixth and the United Kingdom's eighth most populous city, one of the Core Cities Group and the most populous city in South West England.
Historically in Gloucestershire, the city received a Royal charter in 1155 and was granted County status in 1373. From the 13th century, for half a millennium, it ranked amongst the top three English cities after London, alongside York and Norwich, on the basis of tax receipts, until the rapid rise of Liverpool, Birmingham and Manchester during the Industrial Revolution in the latter part of the 18th century. It borders the counties of Somerset and Gloucestershire, and is also located near the historic cities of Bath to the south east and Gloucester to the north. The city is built around the River Avon, and it also has a short coastline on the Severn Estuary, which flows into the Bristol Channel.
Bristol is the largest centre of culture, employment and education in the region. Its prosperity has been linked with the sea since its earliest days. The commercial Port of Bristol was originally in the city centre before being moved to the Severn Estuary at Avonmouth; Royal Portbury Dock is on the western edge of the city boundary. In more recent years the economy has depended on the creative media, electronics and aerospace industries, and the city centre docks have been regenerated as a centre of heritage and culture. There are 34 other populated places named Bristol, most in the United States, but also in Peru, Canada, Jamaica, Barbados, and Costa Rica, all presumably commemorating the original. People from Bristol are termed Bristolians.

senza mare non sembra una delle tue foto, anche se molto bella ugualmente.
Bella composizione, simpatica la mamma e la figlia con i rispettivi passeggini, molto bello il panorama in cui si svolge la scena.

again, its always great to see photos from England. For me here in Vancouver, we just don't have much in the way of History - so its fun to see these old buildings and old style of architecture too.
even in the rain and wet soaked streets this still interests me. its a nice wrap-around style look.

Interesting curved architecture on the right
But for the left part you should take a wider position to have the whole bikes :)

Ciao e buona giornata

This looks like you had a typical British winter day with some rain and a cloudy sky. But I guess you can still enjoy the fine buildings that we can see here. The included people enhances the value of the picture.

This is wonderful - England as it often looks in the winter, but transformed to high interest by your excellent photo. The composition is fabulous and the colour in the bicycle, strollers and sky clinch it. Great!

Intéressante vue sur les bâtiments, le sol humide avec les flaques d'eau, la fontaine ajoute un plus a cet endroit charmant, belle présence des personnes, la petite avec sa poussette comme sa maman :-)

Nice view of Bristol city on a rainy afternoon. The mother and child add life to the photo. The curve of the building on the right is well captured. Beautiful photo from the square with nice natural colours and light. Thanks for sharing.

another picture from England with its typical weather ;-) There is just tiny bit of blue in the sky but obviously the rains had been there before judging from the wet pavement.
Very nice architecture and well given colors. It is a little bit shame that the bicycles got cropped, but I guess you preferred to include more of the building on the right.
Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day

I like the rainy atmosphere and the wet ground. Rainy days can also be good for photos and this was the case. I like the composition with the little child and her mother and the beautiful architecture in background.

it is interesting to see your photos from UK as well. The weather and light are quite different from Greece. Nice capture here, the town seems interesting, never been there. I like the wet pavement.
Very well done,
