Photographer’s Note
One of the public duties battalions or incremental companies is responsible for providing the guard at Windsor Castle. This chap appears to have found the perfect position to avoid confrontation - he must be at least 100 meters away from the fence leading down the Long Walk from Windsor Castle. (It took a 35mm equiv of a 600mm lens to get even this close!)

Hi Dan!
This is a very good photo of Windsor Castle, considering you used the zoom from so far away!
I am useless with zooms! I really like the POV with the little guard keeping watch over this great castle.
Everything is very sharp, even the guard in his sentry box! And I love the texture of the stones , on the wall and around the windows and gates!
When I first saw the miniature, I thought it was the Tower of London!
Lots of similarities in the texture of the stones, I think. Both started under William the Conqueror, weren't they?
Thanks for sharing!
Marielouise.
