| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Reactors no. 5 and 6, capable of producing 1000 MW each, planed for a Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant were under construction at the time of the famous accident of reactor no.4 on 26 April 1986. Reactor no. 5 was close to be completed at the time of the accident and was scheduled to start operating in the fall of 1986. However, it has since been abandoned; construction cranes still stand next to it to this day as you can see on my picture. Right now it`s sure that construction will never be completed but ukrainian government don`t have any idea what to do with this building-site. |
