Photographer's Note

On the right corner of this picture is situated "The Black House" (marketplace number 4) probably most valuable and famous tenement house in Lviv.

This tenement house was built at the end of XVI century for Italian tax-collector Tomas Alberti. Front elevation of the house is created from sandstone darken through the years. Since 1926 in "The Black House" is situated Historic Museum of city Lviv. The house is definitively one`s of the most beautiful example of renessaince architecture in Lviv.

On the left side is situated Mikolasch pharmacy "Under the Golden Star". During the work in this building Ignacy Lukasiewicz as a first man in the world distilled clear kerosene from seep oil and then made first kerosene lamps that in 1853 started to illuminate shop-window of the Mikolasch pharmacy.

S³ynna czrna kamienica. A z lewej strony - historyczna apteka £ukasiewicza / tego który wynalaz³ lampê naftow±/. Piêkne , wyra¼ne zdjêcie. Kolory OK.

A by³o siê ju¿ we Lwowie. I to dwa razy. Ciekawe miasto - pe³ne zadumy i historii. O, któr± niestety tamtejsze w³adze nie potrafi± dbaæ. Kamieniczki s± fajne. Ale jak pamiêtam ratusz zosta³ zniszczony i go ju¿ nie ma. A dalej je¿d¿± tramwaje przez centrum?

Fajne kamieniczki. Roznokolorowe i rozniace sie detalami. Jak w Gdansku :). Dobre kolorki.
Musze ojcu pokazac Twoje zdjecia z Lwowa, moze rozpozna gdzies swoje wlosci ;).
