Photographer’s Note

The Cathedral of the Dormition is located in the Kiev Pechersk Lavra in Kiev, Ukraine. The Lavra is a group of monasteries, religious buildings and caves. It was founded in 1051 as a cave monastery by Antony and it became a center for Eastern Orthodox Christianity in Eastern Europe.
Today it is a must-see place for tourists visiting Kiev.

Hello Iaroslav,

When there is symmetry, then I believe it is a good idea to accentuate it, as you have done. The combination of gold, white and dark grays is very attractive, and beautifully exposed.
