Photographer’s Note
St. Andrews Church (Андрiївська церква) in the Podil district of Kiev. Built in the baroque style by Russian and Ukrainian masters, it was completed in 1754 after almost 7 years. Many believe that this is where St. Andrew erected a cross and prophesied that this would be the site of a great Christian city. The rest, as they say, is history.
The church currently operates as a museum, which houses the works of famous Ukrainian and Russian artists and sculptors. On certain occasions it is still used for worship services.

Nicely composed picture, it looks like one of those painted Russian Easter eggs with a fairy tale quality to it.
