Photographer's Note

This picture was taken at the sunset time from the bridge over the water bypass canal near the dam of Kiev Reservoir. This place is in close vicinity of the town of Vishhorod, just across the Dnipro River. The village in the background is Oseshchina, where a lot of summer houses were built recently.

What have caught my attention at first, is the beautiful sunset light which gave lovely colour tones especially in the BG... it created as well a nice contrast with the FG.
A well timed capture on the fishermen in the rubber boat which balances well the scene.

very pleasant place on the Dnipro river. The low houses look beautiful in the evening light. it seems cold though. I wonder it the anglers got something. Nice photo.

very original and so effective composition. I like the narrow slice of the riverside at the top of the frame and the tiny boat being in the center of the attention. Great light illuminates the houses and decorates the scene with nice long shades.

A very well composed picture, a triangle with the base along the mainly red buildings on top and the little boat below as the top. Very fine colours and also a very interesting view. What kind of fish can they catch here?

the point of view from the bridge is very good,
I like the vivid colors and the DOF,

Lovely colors of the sky and the houses in sunset. The red roofs under the sunset look so rich and shining. The angler is nicely placed at the bottom. Nice reflection with colors in the water. A well presented image.

this one stood out in the small thumbnails due to the bright warm sunlight in the top areas.
also, i like how it has illuminated the land before the water. amazing what beautiful lighting wiil do :)
